Grits and Purls

Spinning yarns about the grit of life

I have completed my first knitted sock, started as a challenge for the Knitting Olympics. This project involved my first attempt in knitting in the round, knitting with double-pointed needles and knitting a sock, so even though this sock sports some gaps and pattern “oops”, I’m pleased. Now, to regroup and knit the second one.

Two socks, finished.

They’re done at last. Not perfect, but they are really cozy.

Thank you. Of course, some of the credit goes to the photographer.

  2. All the photographer did was take a picture! Good luck with sock numer two!

  3. Kelly says:

Well done! They look awsome. I am in awe of your sock knitting prowess ( I am personlly still on sock number 1 of the olympic set).
